How long have you worked with Onshape? I've worked with SolidWorks for many years, and now see there might be defectors because of financial mis-management issues with SolidWorks.

(OP)
Onshape launched it's Beta program 03/06/2015 and I signed up shortly after. I also have used SolidWorks for many years along with Catia and others. With regards to your financial question Onshape is less expensive. It's free to try with full access to functionality but limited to several private models. The Professional seat is currently only $100 per month. Please give it a try and post your questions and findings here!

I hope this helps.
