Ac drain pipe size

Ac drain pipe size

Ac drain pipe size

(OP)
I have 6 Nos. of DFCU each one less than one ton total capacity for all 17.27 kw .Every machine has 1" out let for drain . We have to connect all machines with one common horizontal pipe with 25 meters and one vertical pipe with depth 4meter to trap . my Question is what is perfect size for the common pipe ? and If It also 1" are there any future problems ? thanks

RE: Ac drain pipe size

Each fan coil unit must have its own trap and vent line, just like plumbing sewer lines in a house, except that the vent lines do not get connected together.

RE: Ac drain pipe size

You calculate it with the psychrometric chart.

GPM CONDENSATE = [CFM (ΔWGR)]/[SpV(8.33)(7000)]
SpV = specific volume of air
Wgr = specific humidity

Local code does not allow usage of pipe size smaller than connection to equipment. Common pipe size can be used per above calculation.
