Hi to everyone

I want to ask that, A fan coil unit having the flow 1.23 m3/hr and pressure drop to its flow 57.39 kpa. my question is that how can i find its operating pressure and its design pressure and also the relationship between pressure drop and operating pressure.

There can only be a direct calculation of operating pressure within a certain range of operating pressure and temperature. You can use the flow and other variables in a pressure drop equation divided by the pressure drop in order to calculate the density. From there it gets a little tricky. If the compressibility factor is 1.o and you know the molecular weight of the gas you can make a direct calculation of the operating pressure. Otherwise some trial and error is involved.

That information is only available from the equipment designer (manufacturer).

Look at the name plate, get the information off of there (it might have MAWP/Temps). Or go out in to the field and stick and pressure gage or manometer on the point of interest.

It may be possible to find this operating press if you have the formulas for deriving pressure drop for this fan coil unit, and of course you need to know how the tubes are arranged and fin details.
