Creating Dimension to Gage Point

Creating Dimension to Gage Point

Creating Dimension to Gage Point

(OP)
I am trying to create a linear dimension to a gage point, however since the part is oriented at an angle, I am unable to get the dimension to go in the correct direction. See the attached picture. The black lines are the dimension that I would like to put in. Any tips on how to do this?

RE: Creating Dimension to Gage Point

Tried Perpendicular & Horizontal dimensions?

If nothing works better to add a reference line.

RE: Creating Dimension to Gage Point

Use "parallel" dimension and use the "direction" option to define the direction vector.
