NX 8 Dividing objects do not divide face
NX 8 Dividing objects do not divide face
(OP)
Hi,
I have a question with divide face. I made a sketch and wrap it onto a circular surface, but when I try to divide it with the wrap curve it keeps giving me error, does anybody know what was wrong?
Thanks.

But I'm still curious about the principle behind it, could tell me more?
Thank you.

Really want to know, thank you!
RE: NX 8 Dividing objects do not divide face
The Wrap curve overlaps / passes by the "right" edge 0.006810459 mm of the solid. ( This is well within the tolerance of the wrap curve feature )
It might be because of this you need the "extend" option.
Note that you need to measure between the endpoint of the wrap curve to the edge to see the overlap.- The distance between the wrapped curve and the edge is 0.0

RE: NX 8 Dividing objects do not divide face
It works fine in NX10 (with default settings)and not in NX9.0.3.
I ran a quick gauge analysis btw the wrapped curves and the face you intend to divide. Results are attached. To me it does not seem to be a distance tolerance issue (max gap is around .0018).
