Truss Analysis

(OP)
Hi,

I am currently working on analysis of Truss structure. I am using the beams for modelling. As most of the beams are connected to one another in pinned joints, how do I make my joints in pinned configuration? I understand that the constraint function in the Femap is tying the node to globally and not locally. Is there ways to make the node joints locally pinned? Thanks

RE: Truss Analysis

You might reveal what software you are talking about (if it is software). Or are you doing this by hand??? smile

RE: Truss Analysis

I think he is using Femap, since he is mentioning it in his post.

RE: Truss Analysis

I'd use rods.
