Entry Point Not Found Error

Entry Point Not Found Error

Entry Point Not Found Error

(OP)
Hello All,

Thank you in advance. I have installed DS 2015 on a laptop computer running Windows Server 2008 Standard.

I have AutoCad 2002 installed as well.

When I open dwg file in DS2015, I get an "Entry Point Not Found" error. I attached a screenshot of this error.

Also, my mouse is very jerky "only" on the working area. I have up-to-date video drivers.

Any links or help will be grateful.

RE: Entry Point Not Found Error

Have you tried contacting your VAR? I would do so first.

However when I do a google search I hit on this happening in AutoCAD as well. This solution might be the same for you.

Issue:
When you started AutoCAD, you received an error message similar to the message below.

acad.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point <Name> could not be located in the dynamic link library acdb16.dll.

Solution:
This error is typically experienced after you have either installed several products or installed an update or service pack.

This issue occurs because the DLL reference in the error message is the wrong version. This happens when a DLL has been copied to a location on the system other than the default location.

In this error message (see illustration below), acdb16.dll is the DLL in question. This DLL should only be found in the following default location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared.

To resolve the error, search the local hard drive for extra copies of the affected DLL. You should then remove or rename the extra files.

If this does not help, uninstall the program using the MSfisit tool and reinstall. The tool is located here:http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_...\
