Anyone how can recommend a motor supplier?

I am looking for an asynchronous three phase squirrel cage, 480v/60hz, 5,5kW, Class1 Div1.

RE: Motor supplier

Is it a standard NEMA frame size? Import one from North America.

I thought - perhaps wrongly - that Norway fell under the ATEX rules rather then North American hazardous area classification. That might be awkward with an imported machine.

ScottyUK:

Norway is under the ATEX rules, I am building a prototype for North America.

The motor i have for the atex version has a IEC 112 frame.

I just found a chart IEC vs NEMA, and the closest seems to 184T for a 7,5HP motor.

RE: Motor supplier

Ah, I understand now. I'll leave this to the guys in the US to answer any further questions.
