California Building Code 2013

California Building Code 2013

Is a correction facility or detention facility fall into DSA or OSHPD? and is Build Type IV?

RE: California Building Code 2013

You can get the CBC for free on the internet. I was just there. I think what you are looking for was on page 89 of (I think) Div. 2. It's easy to find.

(Interesting that the CBC is now free to view)

RE: California Building Code 2013

Good to hear it! All building codes should be free. It is in the public interest to ensure that buildings are designed and built in accordance with the code.

RE: California Building Code 2013

I think the CBC is free because someone copied it and published it and apparently the building code people couldn't legally stop it; so they joined it. You can't print the thing. Maybe other codes will follow. Codes have been made into laws and even poor people should have access to the law. And poor engineers should have access to the codes. A big company I worked for budgeted five grand a year for code updates, but they did all disciplines.
