Hi,
Sorry i do not have NX7.5 available with me but i guess it should work in NX7.5 also (can you please refer to the zipped file DEMONSTRATION.7Z i shared in the thread you mentioned.? ).
I shot this in NX8. The only thing i am a bit dubious about is the UG_ASKVALUEOFEXPRESSIONSTR function. If that is available in NX7.5 then the process should work fine.
Once you have the expression controlling part color created you can use the same in the part family table.

Hi,
If you have a KNOWLEDGE FUSION license.....please make the KF navigator visible by clicking Knowledge Fusion (file/all applications) .....Sorry i have called it a day for today so could not send you a picture of the same but i hope you will figure it out.
