NX9 Drawing Size

(OP)
All,

I have been working on a old NX7.5 drawing 'UGPART' whcih has now been revised using NX9.

Only minor changes have bee made to the drawing (a few notes and a composite section view)

The part file has jumped from 45mb to 111mb

Does anyone have any experience of this, is there a work around, is it a known issue?

cheers in advance,

NX Jockey

RE: NX9 Drawing Size

Hi,
Did you use refile (in NX9)?
Best Regards

Hi, initially no, then refiled in the hope it would help but actually made no difference

RE: NX9 Drawing Size

Did you try doing a part cleanup?

RE: NX9 Drawing Size

In the save options you will find "compress part on save". Perhaps this was turned on in your NX 7.5 options and is turned off in your NX 9 options.
