VisMockup changing windows 7 colors on program loading.

VisMockup changing windows 7 colors on program loading.

Hello all.

The company I am working for has many workstations with windows 7 and nvidia quadro video cards.

When I open the VisMockup or any other Vis-program it causes a quick video blink and appears a message saying that windows had changed colors due to a program limitation.

When I close Vis, the window blinks again and returns to 32 bit colors again.

On machines with similar hardware configuration, but with windows XP this situation not occurs.

All OSs are 64 bit and the problem occurs using both 32 and 64 bit Vis shortcut.

Any ideas to what may causing this issue?

Many thanks.

RE: VisMockup changing windows 7 colors on program loading.

I've seen a similar message when my son tried to play an old Win XP game on my Win 7 computer. Basically, the program display output isn't compatible with the Win 7 "aero" interface so Windows temporarily turns it off while the program is running. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it isnt' really an "error" message, more of an "informational" message. You don't see the message on the Windows XP computers, because they don't use the Windows "aero" interface.

If it bothers you, it may be time to upgrade; it looks like TC Visualization is up to version 11 these days.

Hello cowski.

Aero is already turned off.

I don't like aero so its always turned off in my user account at least.

The Vis version available in company I work for is this 8.3 until now.

I believe that after NX and TCe updates - that should occur this month - the Vis will be upgraded too.

Lets wait for....

Thanks anyway.

The problem was solved when we upgraded Vismockup version to 10.1.

Thanks
