Casting dwg by NX

Casting dwg by NX

RE: Casting dwg by NX

"different crossection on both sides"
I understand nothing of this.
Is it the cut which is different or is it the hatching ?

more images needed.

Tomas

RE: Casting dwg by NX

Thats a nasty one...

RE: Casting dwg by NX

A view of the entire drawing, or at least of the section view, would be helpful. There are some diameter dimensions on the left side of the picture; based on the limited information, I imagine the overall casting looks something like below:

RE: Casting dwg by NX

Hi,
To me it looked like a flanged fitting/valve ...although as experts already stated more information is required i think this model will take some more steps rather than just a revolve command.
The middle portion might take a ruled (or lofted ) profile with different sections (the front portion is not shown in the image.

To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?

RE: Casting dwg by NX

(OP)
@kapil yes you are right it is Valve only(DEad weight Safety value) the attached dwg is one of the part in the valve,

Now i am attaching the dwg with more details, pl let me know by how to solve the part dwg (by using which command and how,

Kindly do the needful.

Powdan Jain.

Hi,
You can get some valve models from Grab Cad and it will help you visualize the model correctly.

RE: Casting dwg by NX

Seeing the last image... - This is a typical "2D-design". There is no details at all on HOW the "junction" should look.
is it rectangular / circular/elliptical etc. Somebody has drawn , in 2D, 2 views and the moldmaker will have to do the thinking about how the shapes come together. ( -and eventually get spanked because his thoughts were different.)

I still don't understand what it is that you want to do, or want our help with.
build the model ?
create the drawing?
create a section view ?

What version of NX do you use ?

Regards,
Tomas

RE: Casting dwg by NX

It appears the sectioning is at different angles in the section views.
