Scripting in Developed Shapes, DL1 - Help

(OP)
Help needed to identify a scripting problem with Developed Shapes License in R22:
I've written a script to transfer hundreds of points/Fastener-Locations from a Curved surface (Folded) to a Developed Flat surface (Unfolded), DL1 license in R23. It works great. because of license issues, I had to use it in R22, also with DL1; however, I found that the selection function in the script of the "Unfold" surface in R22 does NOT work. The script does not recognize the Unfold elements in the GeoSet as it does in R22; it just selects the GeoSet body, the parent of the Unfold. Again, I do not see this issue in R23. I do have the DL1 license active in each case;
Has anyone experienced this? Is it a R22 problem? Is there a work-around?
