How to apply current density in axi-symmetric electro-thermal coupled model

How to apply current density in axi-symmetric electro-thermal coupled model

(OP)
Hello,

I am trying to model resistance spot welding process for aluminum. I am modelling it as an axi-symmetric model with PLANE 223 element. I have applied voltage and convection boundary condition. When I tried to apply current, ANSYS 14.5 is not giving me the option to apply it on area, only two options are available, apply on keypoints or nodes.

The problem that I am facing is whether the current applied on nodes will be right and if so whether the supplied current(10KA) needs to be applied on each node or the supplied is just divided by number of nodes and the value is applied on each node.

Thanks.
