Filler Choice for 410S

Filler Choice for 410S

Filler Choice for 410S

(OP)
Do 309 and 309L fall into the category of "austenitic-chromium-nickel", as referenced in UHA 32-2? I would believe so myself, but I am not 100% sure how to determine whether or not a filler falls into that category. Also, what is the best way to determine which of the two is best for the job (410S base metal or otherwise)?

RE: Filler Choice for 410S

Yes, the 309 and 309L fall under this classification. Other filler metal is 430 stainless steel for 410S.
