Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to develop equation 27.4-1 which gives the wind pressure (from the wind velocity) ? I think this equation will generate different case depending on GCpi .. I was struggling a bit to find a simple way to develop this equation and apply it as different case .. I would appreciate if anyone can help.

Develop the equation into what? I'm not sure what you're asking. You calculate the velocity pressure at the height of interest and apply the appropriate internal and external pressure coefficients. This is pretty easy to put into a spreadsheet and reference the external pressure coefficients based on your building dimensions, roof slope, etc. The internal coefficients are based on an open, partially enclosed, or enclosed building, so it's easy to reference those, too.

It does generate different cases. It generates lots of different cases, and then it generates lots of different load combinations.

If you want to simplify your analysis, crunch the wind load numbers, and say "the wind load certainly isn't 35 psf on walls, or 20 psf uplift on the roof. I'll design to that!" If that case does govern, and significantly affects your design, refine.
