Bathroom Exhaust Fan Calculation

Bathroom Exhaust Fan Calculation

I've been given a arch plan with different types of bathroom arrangements. If I have same area of ventilation( ie volume) but instead of having one toilet I had three in other area, will my CFM different for each types of toilets? What is the rules of thumbs to calculate cfm (l/s) with different basin number?

Thanks
mesi

RE: Bathroom Exhaust Fan Calculation

10 air changes per hour will control bathroom odors.

RE: Bathroom Exhaust Fan Calculation

Try to calculate based on 50 CFM per fixture too. Some standards accept this too. What is the usage any way,if I may Ask?

Thanks

Also how about if our toilet in public place? Is it different with private like an apartment or hotel room?

RE: Bathroom Exhaust Fan Calculation

What code are you designing to? Int'l Mechanical code requires 25/50/70 CFM per fixture depending on several factors, refer to your copy of the code for the factors and how they apply.

Do 2 calculations, one based on code minimum, and Willard's 10 ACH. Use the higher of the 2.
