Any model for replacing tungsten bulb at 125VDC for LED

Any model for replacing tungsten bulb at 125VDC for LED

Any model for replacing tungsten bulb at 125VDC for LED

(OP)
In a substation building, we want to replace old 100watts tungsten bulb (standard socket) for LED with same standard socket,
This lighting circuit is fed by a huge 125V DC battery, the size of this battery is calculated with the load of these 100watts bulb,
By replacing these light with LED, we would save a lot on this calculation...

So, I'm looking for a model that would have a datasheet that prove it can withstand DC voltage ranging somewhere from 100VDC to 135VDC.

I called a lot of distributor, some of them tell me that their LED can withstand it, but no one can give me a datasheet with DC voltage...

As you haven't said where you are, I guess it must be the USA. Generally it does help to state where on the planet you're located when asking for manufacturers or suppliers. winky smile

Thank you,

RE: Any model for replacing tungsten bulb at 125VDC for LED

Oops, sorry!

I think I have details of a handful of LED luminaires which will operate on DC, but I'm home for the evening now. Will have a look tomorrow if I get time.

Scotty,

If you look a a member's profile, you'll see the area that they are from at the end of the blurb. You'll see that David's from QC, CA.

Skip,

glassesJust traded in my OLD subtlety...
for a NUance!tongue

Hello Scotty, I'm working with David on that one.

Can you provide those please? Even if on Eropean standards, we can try to find the North-American counterpart.

Regards,

Thank you guys, really appreciated.

I have found this video on youtube, there is a comment below about someone who did try it at 125VDC and it is working on that particular model... still need a manufacturer with datasheet to make sure we can specify it on a project... if it is european I think it is acceptable and we will be sure willing to import it if we waste too much time with american manufacturer... anyway 50hz doesn't mean anything if we power it DC :- )

Sorry I didn't get a chance to look properly at work, here's one which is roughly equivalent to 60W tungsten but with better colour temperature. http://www.hadar-lighting.co.uk/files/products/HDN... Verify that 110V DC will cope with the variation in battery voltage, but I suspect 110V will have a fair tolerance.

Have you considered using a fluorescent luminaire equipped with an LED 'tube'? Some of the HF ballasts are universal input.

We first want to try LED bulb with E26/E27 socket to directly replace tungsten bulb on a existing substation building.

Thanks for the feedback.
