Hi.

Can a CWI or CSWIP PERSONNEL qualify a WPS? please send your advice

Yes, they can either assist in the process for qualification of the welding procedure specification or qualify the WPS provided they are an employee of the organization responsible for the WPS/PQR.

Thank you Metengr. But i just want to clarify. He is not an Employee of the organization but a Certified welding Inspector by CSWIP 3.1 3.2 he just got a course and take exam, then passed the 3.1 and 3.2 CSWIP course can he Qualify directly the documentation of PQR/WPS following the governing codes of AWS. in such way is there no need for the third party organization to qualify? please enlighten me appreciate it much. anyway thank you in advanced have a good day.

The person signing the WPS or PQR should be under employment by the company responsible for welding.
