Perpendicular to cylinder - Snap to Implied side
Perpendicular to cylinder - Snap to Implied side
(OP)
Does anyone have an insight into how one could sketch perpendicular to the geometry of a cylinder and have the sketch attach to the imaginary line defined by the side of the cylinder when seen from the side orientation?
I'm using NX 9.
Here's an image to convey what I mean.

I guess another option is to project the top edge of the cylinder to the sketch plane which gives me two end points.
But the intersection gives me a nice line on the side which is perfect.
Thank you for pointing that out. Much appreciated!
