How do you create a racetrack slot, by dragging a hole in a certain direction by a certain length.
Thanks in advance for you interest and replies

RE: Create slot by dragging hole

you don't drag a Hole, you drag a profile along a line or curve:

or you use the sketch racetrack as the pocket profile:

Thanks for you help guys.

I dont have a profile I can drag. I have a shaft going thru a wall, and I have generated a hole in the start/mechanical design/assembly then I do insert/assembly features/hole. So I get a hole in my wall at the point the shaft penetrates the wall. Then I go back to my wall part and I see a hole.
Now I want to make this hole in the wall into a racetrack in mechanical design/part design or some other template.

If I create a slot any other way, it will not be tied in to the shaft in the assy, and it will not move,, when I move the shaft. My goal is to have this racetrack move when I move the shaft in assy.

BTW where is this predefined profile/elongated hole itsmyjob?

BTW2 please give me some written directions or photos, but please dont include any files, because I am not allowed to download anything from the internet
