Plate Slip of MPC Wood Trusses

Plate Slip of MPC Wood Trusses

Plate Slip of MPC Wood Trusses

(OP)
Technically this topic should probably be posted in the truss forum but I'm hoping the larger audience of this forum might better provide me with the information I am looking for.

According to the commentary of the TPI1-2007 and TPI1-2014 a factor "S" should be added for each joint when using the virtual work method to calculate deflections for MPC wood trusses. This factor represents the plate or nail slip of the metal plates as they grasp the wood members. I am trying to find some documentation or information on what value to assign to this slip but I'm coming up pretty much empty handed.

A confused student is a good student.
