Termination Clauses

Termination Clauses

Termination Clauses

(OP)
I read about engineers having problems with clients and contractors. Some of these problems seem best solved through contract termination. What termination clauses does everyone use in their contracts? I use a modified AIA clause which is more specific than the AIA original, but I have never had to use it. I emphasize breach of contract provisions as a major termination clause in my construction contracts. But I haven't found "good words" to terminate an engineering services contract.

RE: Termination Clauses

I'm used to having two separate clauses, termination for convenience, and termination for default. I've seen both used for A-E services as well as construction. However, these were under the FAR and not AIA.
