Creating index for Routing libraries in NX10

Creating index for Routing libraries in NX10

Creating index for Routing libraries in NX10

(OP)
Hello everyone!

It is possible to open Library Management and create index for the library entries. But there are special nodes that only visible in Routing Add Part or Add Stock dialogs, and which are not visible in Library Management - and therefore I can't create index for them. I tried to switch application task, but it doesn't help. How to create index for those specific nodes?

Also, is it possible to switch off indexed search altogether? So that NX doesn't give error 'Index is not created', and lets search in a conventional pre-indexed way?

RE: Creating index for Routing libraries in NX10

Hi,
I already asked Siemens if it is possibel to create an index for the Routing Part Library, the answer was that this is not possible by now. Below the original answer:

I have discussed this with the routing development team and they have confirmed there is no integration with the Routing Part Library and the Reuse library indexing. It is possible to select a folder containing routing parts, add this to the reuse library and then index this. However this will not allow you to search on routing related properties and will not work for routing stock.

Zoran

Ok, but how do you search Routing libraries? When I try, it says that index is not created. How to disable it and search in an old way?
