Analysis Result which relates the Rotation/Displacement to its corresponding mode shape in ETABS

Analysis Result which relates the Rotation/Displacement to its corresponding mode shape in ETABS

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

Im doing Dynamic Analysis in Etabs to capture the first 3 modes(response) of the Building, it is understood that Mode 1 and Mode 2 should be translational in orthogonal directions and Mode 3 is more likelt rotation. My question is, is there any tabulated output maybe a Node Displacement and or Rotation to be able to check these first 3 Modes and to make sure mode 1 and 2 are translational in nature.

I could not find any tabulated result in the Analysis Result which relates the Rotation/Displacement to its corresponding mode, i have also checked the Summary Result but i was not able to see any related info.

Any input is highly appreciated,

Thanks very much in advance,

Regards,
Kenneth

RE: Analysis Result which relates the Rotation/Displacement to its corresponding mode shape in ETABS

U can check in the participation mass the percentage of mass that has been captured in the x, y and rotations rz components.
Based on the participation mass, u can easily deduct if your first modes are translational or rotational.
