Nastran Enforced Displacement

Nastran Enforced Displacement

Nastran Enforced Displacement

(OP)
Hello All,

I am trying to enforce a small displacement on a thin cantilever beam in the horizontal direction, then apply another displacement in the vertical direction.
I was trying using subcases but the subcase manager only allows loads to be managed and not displacements. How can I apply the horizontal displacement, then take that result and apply the vertical displacement. Hopefully, this is a simple question for someone.
I am using NX 9.0.2.5

Thanks in advance!

RE: Nastran Enforced Displacement

a simple way is to replace your enforced displacements with loads in these directions.

apply a unit load in each direct, scale to get the deflection you want, and add.

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

RE: Nastran Enforced Displacement

i guess when selecting the solution itself..we can select a solution with global constraints or solution with subcase constraints.. try the solution with subcase constraints...
