Internal error

Internal error

Internal error

(OP)
Hi,
I am using NX 10.0.1.4 and I've noticed that when ever(most of times) that I create a detailed view, I get the internal error later at some stage. Sometimes the drawing dosent even update.
May I know what is causing this error?
Part clean up dosent help. Nor does clearing the cache/temp files.

Thanks

Shetty,

RE: Internal error

Hi Shetty,
It would be good to get in contact with GTAC in the first place. Since it might require sharing your model and the log file also with the support team.

Best Regards
Kapil

RE: Internal error

Possibly you have some sort of graphics issue.
Make sure your graphics card is compatible with NX.

@ Jerry
I dont think it's the problem of graphic card since it's new and specifically used to work with designing softwares.

@ Kapil
I try to avoid them, since they take some time to sort out the issue.

what I usually notice or observe is that if I delete(sometimes not possible) the detail view, the internal error pop up disappears and it's good as new.
So I was wondering if there is / are any bugs in detailed view option or in most of the parts/components I work with or something else.

Thanks

RE: Internal error

Hi,
Can you run examine geometry check on the model and check the result for any inconsistency?

I try to avoid them [GTAC], since they take some time to sort out the issue.

But at least they can sort out the issue. With "internal errors" we can only guess. And if it is a bug in the software, only they can fix it. Even if you find a workaround here, you should still show it to GTAC.

RE: Internal error

I also agree with Cowski. At the end of the day we might end up playing a guess game here.
But still will do our best to support.

Kapil.

Yeah, thanks Cowski and Kapil...I've done that now and forwarded it to GTAC...
The workaround was that I placed the detailed view after I've placed and finished all the other views to avoid getting an error.
