Pump Type Selection for Make up in the tank

Pump Type Selection for Make up in the tank

Pump Type Selection for Make up in the tank

(OP)
All,

In one of the ongoing project for FPSO, We need to select a pump for Fresh Water Application. This pump will only be used when there is requirement to MakeUp (Top up) in overhead vessel, means service will be intermittent. Suction pressure is around 4 Barg, and differential pressure is 9 barg. Inlet connection will be from utility station of module.

Pump can be Electrical Motor or Air driven.

Now, Can anyone suggest me cheapest solution in terms of pump type (Except Centrifugal) which suits the requirement?

Look forward to have your suggestion.

RE: Pump Type Selection for Make up in the tank

Sure your local pump supplier would be more than capable and happy to help you,but make sure you take the time to establish the flowrate needed and pass on the information.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
