Bronze motor

(OP)
Hi I'm a newby to site and a structural engineer, in electronics I'm
a monkey with enough knowledge to be dangerous.
As such can someone tell me if the attached will work as a dc/ion motor.
the bronze disks have a variable resistance between 6 and 15 ohms (copper or phos).
the coil connected to the face of the disk is similar to tesla's electromagnetic coil producing a magnetic field between
the disks Faces(homopolar motors connected in series with the coil).
thankyou for answering what is probably a dumb question.
