Cleaning in Place

Cleaning in Place

Cleaning in Place

(OP)
Hey,
on websites I read that there are devices that are used to measure the contamination of water or other substances. For cleaning, I'm looking for a device that can measure the contamination of objects, something as a contamination meter. So an automatic device that can measure pollution (microorganisms, visually dirt, etc.). My question to you is whether you know whether such a thing and that I may find / get more information about it? Thank you in advance!

RE: Cleaning in Place

This is a common problem in cooling towers and many solutions exist, although there is not a single all-in-one "contamination meter" - you will have to specify what you need to keep an eye on and look for instruments to measure each. For instance a turbidity instrument could measure entrained particles (the dirtiness of the water). A conductivity or pH meter could measure chemical contamination or the level of treatment chemicals in the water.

If you look up "cooling tower controllers" you will find many solutions to monitor water quality and also inject treatment chemicals as needed.

I think it is what I need. The device is going to be used in a Cleaning in Place Cleaning plant. For optimizing te plant it can be usefull to use a device which measures contamination. So, the device isn't immersed in liquid. Is the device still usefull and where can I find this kind of devices? Thank you!

RE: Cleaning in Place

There is no device available that is a universal measure for cleaning in place efficiency.

It doesnt need to be one device. It may be a couple or a combination of devices which can be used.
