Difference between Stell S275 & S235

Difference between Stell S275 & S235

Hi,
my subcontractor asking me to change the specification of steel plates to be S275 instead of S235
is there any problem to do this modification

RE: Difference between Stell S275 & S235

difference is, amongst others:
- the yield strength
- the tensile strength
- chemical composition (with respect to welding, or CEv)

for the rest, not that much different, as they're both low property steels.

You sure bring a lot of information with you for us to answer your question.

Thanks
This is for concrete insert plates
Definitely I know these differences
But my intention was: is the using of higher grade steel always better than using the least degree,

RE: Difference between Stell S275 & S235

Too broad of a question. As an example, magnetic properties make the lower grade generally preferred.
