Carbon steel for ball valve body for minus 60 Celsius
Carbon steel for ball valve body for minus 60 Celsius
(OP)
Dear all!
Please advise the standard carbon steel for -60 Celsius. As I know LF2 can be used there, but supplier can guarantee only -50 Celsius.
So advise, is it possible to use LF2 or it's better to use LF3 (down to -100 Celsius).

Hopefully they have the LF3 or another low temp material option
From some quick internet search it seems LF2 is tested at -46C with 15ftlbs impact for class 1.
Out of curiosity - if they do have LF3 option - what is price difference?

What size of a valve are we talking about? What is the service?
