Lock view location

Lock view location

(OP)
Hi
I have created a top view from front view. Then, removed the location link by view positioning, position independently of reference view. Then, moved to new location and align that view to other view by ‘align views by using elements’. Now, I want to lock that location of the view at that position. I unable to find the command for that. If I go to properties of view and enable lock view, it is locking the inside things of the view. But, if I drag the view, it is moving. Kindly give an idea to lock the view at that position.

1. You could hide the view frame to avoid it getting accidentally selected and moved.
2. You could create a reaction that fires anytime it's x or y coordinates change and write a script to re-position it.

RE: Lock view location

You can't. And don't you dare make a script that does.

RE: Lock view location

Hi,

You can re link it by choosing "view positioning and choosing position according to refence view". this is the simplest way of doing it.all the best.

RE: Lock view location

Thanks Sudhakarn! I didn't know that option existed. But, this will align & link the view back to it's parent - not the other view as was in the original question.
