4 Level addition to concrete building

4 Level addition to concrete building

(OP)
This is a conceptual question.

An existing 4 level concrete building to have 1 level added transfer steel frame and 3 level added timber structures. there is a rigid slab at steel transfer frame level.

As you know it is not possible to model timber building in Etabs.

I thought a implication is to model additional steel transfer frame only with a lumped mass from timber above. I think the mass of 'timber' should be scaled by lever arm because we manually dropping down the centre of mass to the bottom of timber building.

One engineer is arguing that the timber is so flexible, can just lumping the mass without any scale up.

What is your opinion? A sketch is attached for your quick reference.
