Saving NX10 2D drawing to 2D DXF file problems

Saving NX10 2D drawing to 2D DXF file problems

(OP)
New to NX10..used NX8 a few years ago.

My problem is trying to make 2D DXF files from NX 2D drawing data.
I try the Export-DWG?DXF, go through the settings, I'm pretty sure I am selecting everything to make a 2D DXF,
then I create the DXF, when I try and open the DXF with eDrawings or Solidworks, the output is 2D but not of the original drawing view, but of some
wacky 3D view of the part. Anyone have this same problem?

Steve

You need to change the option "model" to "drawing" when you are exporting out. Also look into doing the CGM wash. There are programs on this website that automates this process for you.
