Label Chamfer

Label Chamfer

(OP)
Hello Everyone,

I am trying to use label chamfer in Siemens NX 9.0, The part i am using is imported from CATIA and before doing label chamfer I have optimized the whole part but when i am applying the label chamfer feature it shows and alert "The face doesn't match the definition of a chamfer and cannot be labeled" but the thing is that I have used chamfer command to create that chamfer and then i have optimized the whole part but when it comes to label chamfer it shows that error again. can anyone suggest me the possible solution/the reason?

Thank you

RE: Label Chamfer

Is it a 45 degree chamfer ?

Yes It is a 45 degree chamfer, I have uploaded the .jpeg file may be that can help a little to understand

RE: Label Chamfer

I don't know, it might just be an optical illusion, but that does not look like a 45° Chamfer.

can you suggest me the best way to find out if the surface is planer or not, or I would say any command to analysis the planer surface ?

RE: Label Chamfer

Information -> object... pick the face, the information window will open with the details. Somewhere in the list it will report the "surface type".
