Ladder Network Solution

Ladder Network Solution

Ladder Network Solution

(OP)
Perhaps I've been out of school for too long, but I don't recall how to solve this circuit. It appears to be used as a filter topology, so someone must know, but I can't find it. I want to be able to calculate voltage and current at each node.

Anyone have any tips on where to look, or where to begin? I can't seem to find any references online. Or perhaps does this topology go by another name that would return more google results?

Thanks for the help

RE: Ladder Network Solution

There are six loops, counting the input source and the output detector.
Kirchoff's laws will help you develop equations to solve.
Sum of currents at a node is zero.
Sum of volages around a loop is zero.

RE: Ladder Network Solution

Anytime I see stuff like that, I want to "simplify" things with a series of Y-to-Delta conversions (just a habit of mine)... but in the end, the 6 equations will net you what you need.

I had considered the Y-D tranform... I really didn't want to do that so many times and hoped someone had already derived a magic equation. I suppose it will be good practice...

RE: Ladder Network Solution

Try a search on "analysis of ladder network" and you'll get some solutions.
