thread184-288042: Sprinkler Design for Generator Room

It depends on the arrangement of the fuel tanks and fuel oil piping systems. If all liquid supply and withdrawl connections are at the top of the tank, I have accepted OH2. If piping is below the tank's liquid level I would specify a minimum EH1.

Stookeyfpe, where does this information in regards to the location of the piping determining the hazard to be utilized comes from? I have looked all over NFPA, and have not found it. Could you point me in the right direction please.

Thanks, Rigal357
