Thermomass insulated cast in place walls

Thermomass insulated cast in place walls

(OP)
Has anyone specified insulated cast in place concrete walls where the insulation is sandwiched between concrete? A 12" wall would have 5" conc. 2" insulation and 5" concrete. If so, how does one satisfy the building code for concrete wall thickness and anchorage of the plate and hold downs at shear walls.

You input is appreciated
Bill

RE: Thermomass insulated cast in place walls

I built my house out of 2/2/4" Thermomamss. (2/2/5 in the basement)
All three stories are Thermomass so I did not have that issue (basement, first, second and gable).
Fastened the joists to an embedded 2x10 nailer.
