RE: conversion ABAQUS 6.12 to 6.10

Hi,

If you have an .inp file you should be able to import your model into v6.10. If you just have a .cae file you may need to upgrade.

thanks dave for your response

i have the .inp file but would you please tell me how do i proceed exactly thanks a lot

RE: conversion ABAQUS 6.12 to 6.10

Hi,

Open Abaqus/CAE and go to File -> Import Model. In the menu that pops up change the File Filter Type to "Abaqus Input File (*.inp,*.pes)". Navigate to the folder where you stored your .inp file, select it and press OK. Abaqus/CAE should read your input file and recreate the model in v6.10.

Read "Section 10.8: Importing a Model" in the Abaqus/CAE manual for more info.

Good luck,
Dave
