hello all
this is regarding modelling in FLAC3D. I Want to calculate moment capacity of shallow foundation. ie . for vertical capacity of foundation we displace the foundation vertically and calculate the reaction which is vertical capacity of foundation.same goes for horizontal capacity also. but for moment capacity , for finding the maximum moment that footing can take i need to know the modelling procedure in FLAC3D. i have calculated vertical and horizontal capacities. what i found in literature is the moment capacity is known by rotating footing. i am finding difficulty in modelling rotation of foundation in FLAC3D. i have used footing as elastic body with no internal displacements. any suggestions regarding modelling procedure would help a lot :)
