NON student copy of NX for learning....

NON student copy of NX for learning....

NON student copy of NX for learning....

(OP)
Folks,
Anyone know of where / how a non-student type person can get a legal version of NX to learn on? Preferably NX 7.5 (which is the version I'm working on for the foreseeable future...). Any help would be appreciated. I'm mostly interested in the customization / programming aspect; while non 'on the job'.
I've checked the 2 sources mentioned in another post for the student versions, but only NX10 is available, and you must be a 'student'... which rules me out.

Thanks in advance

Regards,
SS

RE: NON student copy of NX for learning....

This is the sad side of Siemens licensing policy.
1) you are a student, you can then buy the student version.
2) you are not a student , you can then buy the full price version.

To my knowledge there are no more legal licensing options. Maybe you can lease the software for a given time and thereby avoid the price tag.

I have heard that there are competing software that offers legal home use versions. I hope Siemens does something similar.
It would do good for the marketing aspect if interested people could design their own stuff on their spare time.

Regards,
Tomas

If you have children that are of student age, buy it in their name.
As far as buying an older version, that becomes more difficult, unless Journeyed has an old copy they did not sell when 7.5 was the latest version.
