Published references for constraints

Published references for constraints

Published references for constraints

(OP)
Good evening everyone !

I need to constrain some parts to a skeleton.All the references in the skeleton (planes) are published.Parts will be constrained between axis system (original) and these planes.It is required not to lose the constraints when i replace the parts.To be sure this doesn't happen is it required to publish also the axis system in the parts ?

Regards,
Costin

Best regards,
Costin Ruja

@costinruja
You are correct in that using publications will prevent constraints from breaking when swapping parts. It's not required to publish the axis system of the parts unless they are also being used to constrain.

Yes, the axis system of the parts will be used to constrain them to the skeleton, so they should be published also.

Also, another question.In terms of robustness of the constraint, which one is better: a vertex (point in sketch) or a point (in space) ?
