NPT In Feature Parameters

NPT In Feature Parameters

Using NX8.5
When I use Feature parameters for a screw hole it gives me say "1/4-20 (depth).50"
But when I use it for a tapered NPT thread, I get "1/8-(depth).39"
Is it possible to get 1/8 NPT-(depth).39 ?

RE: NPT In Feature Parameters

I don't have any problem getting the NPT designation using NX 8.5 and the Feature Parameter function, as shown below, however the thread/inch is meaningless when specifying pipe threads:

Now starting with NX 9.0, the new Hole Callout function did a much better job:

Thanks John.
Have to investigate why it's not working for me.

Search for the file "thd_english.dat"
They have the standards for threads like that: In the first column you have the text for the thread

# American Pipe Threads - Standard Taper
# Data from Machinery's Handbook (25th Edition, 1996) Table #3 - pp 1774-1775
