2D Axisymmetric Issue

2D Axisymmetric Issue

2D Axisymmetric Issue

(OP)
Hello,
I have created a 2D Axisymmetric model of a tube flange using CTRIAX6 with the nodes defined in a cylinderical coordinate system with its R aligned to basic X and Z aligned to basic Z i.e; the element/grids are in XZ plane. I have not defined additional constraints to account for symmetry as I am assuming Patran automatically accounts for it and have defined BC only to account for the structural constraints. When I run the model I get this error:
USER FATAL MESSAGE 4660 (ETX6D)
FOR ELEMENT WITH ID = 48
THE GEOMETRY HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED PROPERLY .

Can you help me resolve this? Thanks.
