BS 5400 - Live Load Deflection Limit for Steel Tub Composite Bridge?

BS 5400 - Live Load Deflection Limit for Steel Tub Composite Bridge?

BS 5400 - Live Load Deflection Limit for Steel Tub Composite Bridge?

(OP)
Hello,

I am familiar with working with Aashto design code, which limits live load deflection of normal bridges to L/800.

However, I do not recall seeing this requirement in the BS 5400 code (British Standards)? I have a bridge that satisfies the serviceability and ultimate limit state criteria, but fails the live load deflection limit using Aashto.

Does anyone know if BS 5400 have this LL deflection limit criteria?
