Application of Accidental and Inherent Torsion in ETABS

Application of Accidental and Inherent Torsion in ETABS

(OP)
Hi All,

May i have your thoughts with regards to application of accidental Torsion in ETABS, as seen in the attached it is undestood tha the story force F is applied to the center of mass CM and has a distance ex from the center of stiffness/rigidity. As for the accidental torsion, my question is if i tick the Y Dir + Eccen Y in ETABS does it means the story force F if applied at distance +0.05L (eccentricity) from Center of Mass (CM), whilst if i tick the Y Dir - Eccen X the force F is applied on the - (negative X)-0.05L, which simply means that application of Accidental Torsion is measured from center of mass, where the Cm is the origin of X and Y axis.

Please let me know if my understanding is correct.
