Gr. 8.8 BOLTS AND NUTS

Hi Guys,
I am working/preparing a piping MTO for a ship's boiler steam lines to be replaced and I'm being advised to use gr8.8 bolts for the (DIN) flanges rated 300# or PN25. Is there any advantage in using this other than using the normal grade b7?

RE: Gr. 8.8 BOLTS AND NUTS

Hi

Grade 8.8 in comparison would be a slightly weaker bolt material see this link.
