thread750-298912: STAAD AISI code check for User-Defined Sections

When I try adding a section to the section database table as described here:

[indent][/indent"You may add your section to the STAAD AISI section database, so that your section becomes a permanent part of the database. This can be done using the following method.

From the Tools menu, select Modify Section database. The various steel databases available in the program will be listed in a dialog box. You will find ColdFormed (US) at the end of this list. Expand this list, and choose Channel with Lips or Channel without Lips as the case may be. On the right half of the dialog box, the Add option will become activated. Select that, and you will now be provided with an interface through which you can add your channel to the list. Save and Close it."

I find the Iy value always resets back to 0 (see attachment). Any one know why or a work around to this?

RE: Adding to section database.

Press Enter in the keyboard after you put in the data for Iy in the cell. Subsequently you may Save and Exit and the value should be retained.
